Unicorn Carving [Wood Carving Project]

With Christmas coming up and having a certain amount of ambition and daring (and perhaps stupidity) in my mind, I decided to attempt to carve a unicorn from a piece of Sycamore for my sister. I’ve never attempted anything like this before and I’m hoping I’ll improve in the future!

The sycamore was very hard and while it was good at holding together while I was carving it was also very hard. With a bit more experience I think I could do a better job of this piece and I think I’ll revisit it again. Carving is something I enjoy very much, there’s fewer rules in a sense, but also a lot of precision is needed.
