DIY Tutorial: Making a Unique Circuit Board Cabochon with Lab Grown Quartz Opal cutter goes rogue

Description: In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to make a unique cabochon using a computer circuit board and a quartz crystal. Cabochons are typically used in jewelry making, but this one can also be used as a decorative piece.

Materials:

Computer circuit board
Quartz crystal
Epoxy resin
Cab Machine Or
Dremel or rotary tool
Protective gear (gloves, safety glasses)
Steps:

Start by selecting a section of the circuit board that you want to use for your cabochon. It’s best to choose a section with interesting patterns or colors.
Start with a rough grit and gradually work your way up to a fine grit.
Place your quartz crystal onto the circuit board to determine the size and shape of your cabochon. Use a marker to trace around the crystal.
Use a Dremel or rotary tool to carefully cut out the shape of your cabochon. Be sure to wear protective gear and work slowly to avoid damaging the circuit board.

Mix your epoxy resin according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Pour the epoxy resin onto the circuit board and use a Paint Brush or other tool to spread it evenly around the cabochon. Attach Quartz and circuit board together.
Allow the resin to dry according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Once the resin is fully dry, use a cabbing machine or Dremel or rotary tool.
Your circuit board cabochon with quartz crystal is now ready to use in your jewelry making or as a decorative piece.
