The Beginner Woodcarving series finally hits on my specialty – figure carving. We’re keeping it simple to start with with this cute little bird figure, carved from basswood. This is a great intro on how to carve wooden figures and start adding details to your wood carvings, as well as some basic tips on painting and finishing a natural looking carving.
