RISD Adjunct Professor Clara Lieu and Teaching Artist Annelise Yee demonstrate how to carve an organic balsa wood sculpture using a utility knife and sandpaper. Lieu walks through every step of the carving process, including blocking out the largest shapes through to process of sanding the sculpture to create a seamless purpose.
