"HobbiPen Airbrush Selection for the Fish Carver"- by Ron Bailey
For the fish carver, the airbrush is the ideal tool for applying paint to the carving. The subtle blending of colours found on a live fish can be fairly easily duplicated by the airbrusher, with some experience.
Most fish carvers use water acrylic paint, which is safer and more convenient to use than lacquer. However, acrylic paint must be thinned to proper viscosity for it to spray well, especially important for detail work.
I would recommend an airbrush with a larger nozzle size, especially for carvers with limited experience. With the larger nozzle size, the correct viscosity is less critical and there will be less clogging of the nozzle.
The HobbiPen G535-B Pro with the 0.35 mm nozzle would be an excellent choice. It also has a top mounted paint cup large enough for most tasks and can be cleaned quickly for change of colours.

"HobbiPen Airbrush Review" - by Ron Bailey
In 2008, I was invited to test two new airbrushes, prior to going to market. They go by the name of HobbiPen , and they were the G520-B Pro and the G520-A Pro. The quality and performance of these airbrushes are exceptional and in my opinion equal to Iwata airbrushes. If you are looking for a great airbrush at a very reasonable price, then consider a HobbiPen airbrush.
The airbrushes are available through both WhoseDepot.com and HobbiPenAirbrush.com. These suppliers also carry airbrush compressors as well. WhoseDepot.com also has a complete line of Iwata airbrushes, sprayguns, etc. Their prices for Iwata airbrushes are the lowest you will find.
