The most striking feature of the Flying Fish is their pectoral fins, which are unusually large, and enable the fish to take short gliding flights above the water surface, to escape from their predators.
The Marlin is a member of a group of marine fish known as "billfish". It's common name is thought to derive from its notional resemblance to a sailor's marlinspike, and Marlin are known to be incredibly fast swimmers, reaching speeds of about 110 kilometres per hour.
